solitude

Solitude is my escape.
Where I can take off my "fake" cape.
Just put on some music till the sound is fade.

don't want to be tied down

Give me all your money
And I’ll show you a card trick
Give me all your diamonds
And I’ll draw you your likeness

Hey, don’t want it to ever stop
But I don’t want to be tied down
Hey, my temperature’s getting high
So could you keep your voice down
Hey, don’t want to go over the top
So could you release my arms now

Like I say,
Don’t want it to ever stop
I don’t want to be tied down
Hey, don’t want it to ever stop
But I don’t want to be tied down

Bhinneka Tunggal Ika

That is the official national motto of my beloved country, Indonesia. It is a quotation from an Old Javanese epic poem, Sutasoma, written by Mpu Tantular during the reign of the Majapahit empire sometime in the 14th century. Literally it means "Although in pieces, yet One", or often translated as "Unity in Diversity".

July, 17th 2009. An act of cowardness strikes my country. 2 bombs explode in Jakarta. The first one explode around 07.40 AM at JW Marriott Hotel, Kuningan. And the 2nd bomb explode around 07.50 AM at Ritz Carlton Hotel, not far from JW Marriott. At least 9 people killed and more than 40 were injured from that blasts.

My deepest condolence and prayers for the victims.

And let me tell you something, if YOU think that this act would make us, people of the Republic of Indonesia, Indonesian people scared, you are so DEAD WRONG!!!

WE WILL NOT GO DOWN! NOT BECAUSE OF BOMBS! INDONESIA WILL SURVIVE!

Lessons from Grey's Anatomy

A couple hundred years ago, Benjamin Franklin shared with the world the secret oh his success. "Never leave that till tomorrow which you can do today", he said.

I dont know why we put things off, but if I had to guess, I'd say it has a lot to do with fear. Fear of failure, fear of pain, fear of rejection.

Sometimes, the fear is just of making a decision. Because, what if you're wrong? What if you're making a mistake you can't undo?

Whatever it is we're afraid of, one thing holds true. That, by the time the pain of not doin a thing get worse than the fear of doin it, It can feel like we're carrying a giant rock.

"He who hesitates is lost". We can't pretend that we haven't been told. We've heard all the proverbs, heard the phylosophers, heard our parents warning us about wasted time, heard the damn poets urging us to seize the day. Still, sometimes, we have to see for ourselves.

We have our own mistakes. We have to learn our own lessons. We have to sweep today's possibillity under tomorrow's rug until we can't anymore, Untill we finally understand for ourselves ,what Benjamin Franklin meant.

That knowing is better than wondering. And that even the biggest failure, even the worst, most intractable mistake, beats the hell out of never trying.

love from the eyes of 11-years-old

Somewhere a million miles away…the girl I once loved was going down her road…and I was stuck back on mine."

"I couldn’t escape them - all the things I left unsaid, all the little things I left unsaid. I was drowning in them."

"Suddenly, I knew what I had to do. Love isn’t about ridiculous little words. Love is about grand gestures."

"Love is about airplanes pulling banners over stadiums.
Proposals on Jumbotrons. Giant words in skywriting. Love is going that extra mile even if it hurts. Letting it all hang out there. Love is finding courage inside of you that you didn’t even know was there."

Those are some lines taken from the movie Little Manhattan that I watched almost 3 yrs ago,,a movie about two 11-years-old find love in NYC..you may think those lines a bit lame and cheesy..but i just love it,,cause it came from an 11-yrs-old boy who felt love for the first time..it was an honest and sweet movie..

the actors were amazing, new york is so romantic, i could relate to the boy, i love scooters, i love karate i love everything to do with this movie! its all very true to life and its seen through the eyes of a boy that i think most guys can relate to..(eventhough i’m a girl)..Plus,,it has so many good songs..i repeat,,the songs in the movie are soooo good!!!!even my lil sis recorded it "live" from the DVD..I just love this movie..I luv it!!!

"Nothing’s as big as your first love…"
