one fine day on the sunday afternoon

Sunday means time to get into the kitchen, and do sumtin sumtin. :)
Yesterday, i was thinking of something healthy and yummy!
And a recipe from Irna caught my attention.
Irna's friend wrote the recipe on her tumblr.

Mini Oatmeal Pizza
it’s a very healthy yet tasty meal / snack” - Irna

 Irna's

Check your fridge & kitchen cabinet and find these ingredients! :D
To make the Pizza shell:
  • 1 cup quick cook oatmeal
  • non-fat milk (enough to make a pancake batter)
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 sp. olive oil
Topping:
  • Crushed tomatoes
  • Shredded mozzarella or quick melt cheddar cheese
  • Italian herbs (dried oregano or basil)
  • Canned tuna, minced meat, sausage, beef salami, mushroom, bellpepper, salmon slice or anything you like.

How to and What to do:
  • Grind oatmeal until smooth (using food processor or small blender)
  • Mix ground oats, egg, milk and olive oil until smooth like a pancake batter.
  • Heat non-sticky fry pan with a bit of olive oil. Spread batter into a circle and flip (like making a pancake). Set aside.
  • Preheat oven to 200C
  • Put pizza shell on a baking sheet or non-sticky pan.
  • Put on crushed tomatoes and any of your favorite topping, sprinkle with cheese and Italian herbs on top
  • Bake 15 – 20 mins until bubbly.
Note:
On the pic, u can see 3 variations of mini pizzas, there are cheesy black pepper beef (with black pepper sauce base), original cheesy tomato with chopped onion, and cheesy beef tomato.

Here’s some tips from Irna :)
  • I prefer to use freshly crushed tomatoes instead of canned, tomato paste or tomato sauce.
  • Be creative with the topping, you can put anything you like!
  • If you are using raw minced beef, chicken, and prawn, always cook it before you put them on the pizza shell.
YUMMM-O!!! healthy pizza… :)
If you are on a diet or simply just want to eat something healthy & tasty, try this one. :p

And, this is my version of mini oatmeal pizza.
Voila!

Smoked beef, sausage, mushroom, and mozzarella. Lots, I repeat, Lots of them! XD
I like herby taste.
So i added freshly picked & chopped Kemangi (Lemon Basil) leaves in the topping.
Healthy yet full of "sin"!!! muwahahaha!!!*munch munch munch*

Happy cooking!
